Check-In & Check-Out

What time is check-in?

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is at 11:00 AM.
A valid government-issued ID and credit card are required at check-in. Full payment (or an authorization for incidentals) will be processed upon arrival.

Do you offer self check-in?

Yes. Guests receive a personalized access code prior to arrival for seamless, private entry. We’re always nearby if you prefer a warm hello.

Breakfast & Daily Comforts

Do you serve breakfast?

We offer a light continental breakfast each morning from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM — simple, fresh, and thoughtfully sourced.

• Juice
• Coffee, tea, and Nespresso

Is coffee available all day?

Yes — our coffee and tea station is available throughout the day.

Do rooms have private bathrooms?

Yes - every room has a private bathroom.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes — complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the inn.

Traveling With Family (and Furry Friends)

Can we bring our dog?

We love welcoming well-behaved dogs under 35 lbs for a nightly pet fee.

To keep things peaceful for all guests:
• Pets must remain leashed in public areas
• Pets may not be left unattended in guest rooms
• Guests are responsible for any damages or disturbances
A cleaning fee may apply for accidents or excessive cleaning needs.

Can we bring children?

Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Pack ’n Plays are available upon request (please note this at booking). We do not offer cribs or rollaway beds.

Is the inn smoke-free?

Yes — we are a 100% smoke-free property. Smoking or vaping is not permitted indoors.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes. To ensure restful evenings for everyone, quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.

Are there common spaces to gather?

Absolutely. Guests are welcome to enjoy the library, living room, garden lounge, dining room, garden, and our beautiful, wrap-around porch. We encourage you to explore our historic property. We simply ask that shared spaces are treated with care and consideration.

What is The Berk Social Club?

The Berk Social Club is our quiet nod to those in the know. Returning guests receive first word on special rates, seasonal offerings, and the occasional perk—shared discreetly.

Reservations & Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made within four (4) days of the scheduled arrival date will incur a charge equivalent to one night's room rate plus applicable taxes. Cancellations made within two (2) days of the scheduled arrival date will be charged the full amount of the reservation.

Are rates subject to tax?

Yes. All rates are quoted in U.S. dollars and are subject to applicable Massachusetts state and local taxes. Taxes and fees will be itemized on your final bill.

What if something isn’t right during my stay?

Please tell us right away. Your comfort is important to us, and we’d much rather address concerns in the moment.

Are you responsible for lost or stolen items?

Guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings. The Berkshire Mountain Inn is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

What happens in the case of severe weather or unforeseen events?

Occasionally, circumstances beyond our control — such as severe weather or power outages — may impact operations. Should that occur, we will communicate promptly and work toward a fair resolution.

How is my personal information used?

We respect your privacy. Guest information is collected solely for reservation, communication, and service-related purposes and is never sold.
